Forward Ben Bentil failed to play a role in San Antonio Spurs 81-70 win over Boston Celtics in the NBA Summer League.
The win is Spurs first of the preseason tourney following an opening day loss to host Utah Jazz; the first leg of the league is taking place at the University of Utah with the next sect of games set to commence on July 7 at the Thomas and Mack Center at University of Nevada in Las Vegas.
The Ghanaian player missed out on the win with Cady Lalanne taking his place in the team recording six points and two rebounds in ten minutes.
Bentil registered five points and two rebounds in the loss to Utah and will be under pressure to impress in San Antonio’s final game later tonight against Philadelphia Sixers and number overall pick in this year’s draft, Markelle Fultz.
Second year Guard Bryn Forbes led the Spurs in scoring with 31 points as San Antonio edged out Boston and overall number three in this year’s draft Jayson Tatum who registered a 23 point, 10 rebound double-double.
