Uganda Coach Milutin Sredojevic has described as divine intervention after the Cranes were paired alongside Ghana, Egypt and Mali in group D for the 2017 Africa Cup of nations in Gabon.
The group has been tagged as the tournaments toughest Group as the Black Stars, the Pharaoh’s and the Cranes are battling it out from the same World Cup qualifying pool.
Sredojevic is anticipating a tough encounter against the four time champions in the opening game of the Group.
“It is destiny and divine intervention that we are once more in the same group with Ghana and Egypt, as in the World Cup qualifiers,” he said.
“I have to say that it has not been easy in our last three matches against Ghana, we have drawn twice and won one.
“Now we will be playing on a neutral and is difficult to play four times against such a big team.
“We have a surprise and it would be a great proof that we are moving towards a bright future for Ugandan football.”
