Ghana’s and FC Zurich striker Raphael Dwamena still believes there is hope for the senior national male team of Ghana, the Black Stars to qualify for next year’s FIFA’s football festival in Russia.
Dwamena who will be returning to the field of play on Wednesday September 20, after a failed move to Brighton & Hoves Albion due to medical issues is now passed fit to feature for the 12th-time Swiss Super League champions against FC Lausanne-Sport.
Speaking to Ghanaian local station Happy FM on Saturday morning, the 22-year old former Red Salzburg goal machine believes Ghana can still qualify for the FIFA World Cup in Russia.
“There is still hope for the team because we just need to believe that anything is possible by God and we have to take our chances in the two games left. I was following the game against Congo in Kumasi but it’s football and because it didn’t go well, our captain Asamoah has apologize to the nation and I believe we can still make it to Russia” —Dwamena told Happy FM
The FC Zurich danger man has had three outings with the Black Stars and scored twice on his debut in a national team jersey against Ethiopia in the African Cup of Nations qualifier in Kumasi.
