Former Ghana premier league sensation Evans Mensah has hinted on helping his current club in Europe, HJK Helsinki win the Finnish league and the solna cup which happens to be the ‘FA cup’ at the end of the 2017 football season in Finland.
The Ghanaian youth star has been in blistering form for the Finnish champions as he has scored 12 goals so far in all competitions for HJK and won four man of the match accolades in ten appearances in the league.
According to the 19-year old in an interview with Ghanafans.com, he revealed that, it’s his desire to win a double with the team and also qualify from the UEFA Champions league playoffs.
“My target for this season is to help my team win the league and the solna cup and I believe we are on one right path, because that’s the target for every player in his team. For the moment, we are into the finals of the solna cup and I hope we wins”-Mensah revealed.
About if he can win the goal king of the league this season, he noted that even though be has scored 8 goals he is second on the log, that’s not his main focus for now.
“I want to play good and it comes with hard work which am doing, if the goal king comes, I will grab it because am second on the goal king chat which I think that’s not my main mission on the pitch. We have strikers in the team who are also scoring, so if the goal comes it’s a bonus”-Evans Mensah
The left-footed winger winger was signed from Ghana premier league side Inter Allies on a three and half year contract during the 2016 winter transfer.
