Former Accra Hearts of Oak player Bernard Aryee has revealed his main idea behind his newly established foundation (The Bernard Aryee Foundation) is to aid young talented footballers relised thier dreams during the foundation’s introduction to the ex-footballers and the media on Saturday at the Idafah Park in Mamprobi-Accra.
Bernard was a member of the Men’s National Team that won the bronze medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain.

“I must say as at now, personally, financially am very okay and I don’t need anything because of God’s Grace on my life so the one I have, I want to share it with the weak ones who have talents and don’t have any push to attain their dreams and aspirations” —– He said
“During the launch of the foundation at Adeiso in the Eastern-Region, you could see that, people just need food, cloth and other stuffs for school and because there is no help coming, they tend to sit at home and their talents goes waste, but I believe with a little push from my foundation, we will be able to raise people from abject poverty through football and education”—Bernard added
The ex AZ Alkmaar player is now based in the States and holds football clinic for kids around the Maryland, Virginia and DC Metro areas, and also the head coach of the Washington DC Black Meteors soccer team, based in Silver Spring, Maryland.
