Ghana ace Andre Ayew has been tipped to win the 2015 BBC African footballer of the year award. The Swansea City attacker remains favorite for the award which is expected to be announced within the week.
Ayew has been outstanding in the English Premier League this season having scored six goals for his side so far.
The former Olympique Marseille star is expected to beat off competition from inform Gabonese striker Piarre-Emireck Aubameyung, reigning African footballer of the year Yaya Toure, Algerian Yacine Brahimi as well as Manchester United target Sadio Mane.
The 25-year-old Ghanaian international has been considered by several football pundicts in England as the favorite to clinch the prestigious award.
The Black Stars deputy skipper will be hoping to win the award for the second time having been crowned with the accolade in 2011.
