Ghana forward, Abdul-Majeed Waris, has hit a major milestone in the French Ligue 1 with FC Lorient.
The 24-year-old scored the winner in Lorient’s 2 – 1 victory over FC Caen at the Stade Malherbe on Sunday to increase his overall goal tally to 11 in the 2015/16 campaign.
His 11 goal feat FC this season is the first time that two FC Lorient Players have scored at least 10 goals in a season.
Abdul Majeed Waris has been in scintillating for FC Lorient this season following his move from Tabzonspor in the Turkish Super League.
The Ghanaian attacker currently sits just a goal behind Cameroon forward, Benjamin Moukandjo on the FC Lorient goal scorers chat who has scored 11 goals this season.
He has also been nominated for 2016 Marc Vivien Foe Award and will be looking to follow in the footsteps of Andre Ayew who won the award in 2015.
