Ghana’s new strike sensation, Raphael Dwamena has been named best footballer of the year by ’Ballers in God’group after helping FC Zurich to gained promotion to the Swiss topflight.
The award is initiated by a group of Christian footballers called ‘Ballers in God’ including some big name players across the world.
Dwamena bagged over 20 goals for Austrian Ersteliga side Lustenau in the first part of the 2016/2017 football season in Europe before joining FC Zurich in January after he was left out in Ghana’s AFCON 2017 final 23-man squad by former Israeli trainer Avram Grant.

The 21-year old goal poacher scored twice on the final day for FC Zurich in the Swiss Challenge league (Lower tier league) to raise his goals tally to twelve(12) as they won the league and gaining promotions to play in the 2017-2018 season of the Switzerland’s topflight league.
He however scored twice against Ethiopia in Kumasi on his Black Stars debut in the AFCON 2019 qualifier on June 11.
Raphael has been tipped by most Ghanaian football expects to replace ageing captain Asamoah Gyan.
